Early one morning in the spring of 2011, my car key was supernaturally bent by an angel to keep me from driving while drunk and possibly killing myself or someone else. I had gone out with girlfriends after work to a local restaurant and proceeded to copy them ordering drinks and ended up having three hard liquor drinks – and I was not a drinker! This was the year before I would be baptized (see 2012). My friends and I ended up staying until the restaurant’s bar closed and after saying our goodbyes, I wandered (staggered?) to my car, got in, put the key in the ignition – and it would not turn! It had worked just fine on the way there and always had before that. The key simply would not turn! Try as I might, there was no chance of starting the engine. I tried over and over but the key would not turn!
I finally called my husband who had to drive 15 miles and come get me at 2:00 in the morning. He could not turn the key either, and proceeded to drive us both home. I did not remember anything about the entire drive home. The next morning we both looked closely at the key and it was definitely bent! An angel bent that key to save my life – or someone else’s. It was a miracle! I still have the key hanging in my home as a reminder that angels DO watch over us.
For He shall give His angles charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
